Ekal Tree is a community service project started by High School Ekal youth volunteers of San Diego. As we all see in our neighborhoods, lots of fruits get wasted as they are not picked up due to various reasons. We coordinate with such fruit tree owners and help pick fruits, and sell/distribute them through our network to raise donations for Ekal. We have also started a club at our school called Preserve and Conserve to involve and inspire peers with this organization. The club attracts more volunteers, expands our network, and increases fruit donations and sales.
